The 2008 Campaign

No public official has ever won an office without the support and encouragement of friends and family! A special thanks to all of those great Wylie citizens who supported me and my family during the 2008 campaign and election.

Eric Hogue for Mayor Campaign

We Did It!

“As an elected county official, I have tried to stay out of municipal races. But when a man of Eric Hogue’s talent and character offers his service, I just can not stay on the sideline. Wylie has a wonderful opportunity to elect a great leader in Eric Hogue!” Joe Barton, Collin County Constable, Precinct 2

"I first met Eric Hogue when I was considering a race against him for City Council. When he met with me I found that he was a man of honor and integrity, a man who listened to others ideas with an open mind and a man whose only interest was what is best for the City of Wylie. Today I am proud to call Eric Hogue my friend and fully endorse him for Mayor of Wylie.  He can bring the promise of Wylie to fruition." Earl Newsom, former member of Wylie City Council, Place One

"I believe Eric Hogue can and will bring a motivated and positive attitude into the office of the Mayor in Wylie, Texas. He is a strong Christian family man with a deep abiding faith in God and country. I encourage the citizens of Wylie to vote for my friend, Eric Hogue!" Zig Ziglar, author and motivational speaker.

It takes dedicated people to make a successful community, and a place we want to call home. With the support and encouragement from these friends and supporters in and around Wylie, Texas, my family and I made the decision and the commitment to serve this city to the best of my ability. I commit to working each and every day for this community, to meet the needs of our growing city.  I also promise to uphold the responsibilities of the Mayor of Wylie, Texas with commitment, dedication, integrity, professionalism, leadership and respect.

This group of people below are from all different walks of life, with different views and ideas for our city. A group of people who can debate the issues and voice their opinions; and in the end come together because they believe in The Promise of Wylie. I want to thank them for their support and encouragement during the 2008 campaign. We could not have done it without you!
